Luke's roommate Dustin found a video of an Australian comedy band called Axis of Awesome. In the video they basically found a bunch of songs with the same 4 chords in them and made a compilation of them. If the link doesn't work look up Axis of Awesome-four chord song on youtube. Pretty entertaining!

Crazy spring days

I took this picture a couple weeks ago and forgot about it. It was one of those crazy random spring days we've been having. I took a nap and the sun was shining when I went to sleep and golf balls were coming down when I woke up. Okay maybe a slight exaggeration. But it was still cool.

Feel Better Tulips

Luke sensed that I was having a tough day today and surprised me at work with flowers! I was having a bad day for some reason and I almost burst into tears right there because it made me feel so much better. Not only that but the lilies that he got me for Easter have officially died and I was having a really hard time letting me go. He's the best best best! I love him. And my tulips.

Weekend delight!

A weekend of KaileyBoo
Kailey ready to go to meeting in her pretty new dress!

Kai had a lot of blowouts this weekend.
She ended up getting an average of 3 baths a day

Kai's first jello adventure.
She loved it.
Since it was my idea I had to clean her up.
Her hands and face were dyed red for a few hours.

Sunny Day Shoes!

It's sunny and pretty outside today and I'm finally wearing my new shoes! I love them. Nothing like a nice day to try out a new pair of shoes.

My apartment is clean in preparation for my roommate to come back this weekend, I want to make her think it's always this clean when she's gone.

Unfortunately (not) I will be going home to catch the very beginning of Appleblossom (food fair, who cares about anything but the white chocolate sprinkle covered strawberries anyway?) because I can't go to the actual Appleblossom weekend on account of Luke's dad's wedding reception which is next Saturday. I got a new skirt for it because I want to make a good impression. Or because I wanted a reason to buy something new. Yeah probably that one. Anyway I'm bringing Luke with me because he has NEVER experienced Appleblossom! Something everyone should do at least once.

Less than a month before Kate takes the cats away! I'm even more excited today because I just had to take my sheets off my bed to clean them because there is cat hair EVERYWHERE. Don't even get me started on my comforter. Yuck.

Hope wherever you are that it's pretty and sunshiney too! Have a good weekend!

Study abroad!

This is Valdivia, Chile. The place I'll be spending four months of my life starting in August. I'm finally studying abroad! I can't even believe it. Remember that post a few weeks ago where I said my life was going too slow? Well now it's going waay too fast.
I went to talk to my advisor last Thursday randomly because I needed to declare my major (Yes, it took me a year to switch my major from music to spanish, and yes, it's because I'm lazy) and my advisor basically told me I needed to study abroad right. Now. Basically. He said that with the credits I have right now, I would be most successful if I studied abroad in the fall. So he walked me to the study abroad building (which is like 2 feet away just to clarify your mental picture) and introduced me to one of the girls who worked there and she printed me the application, gave me all the information, and told me it was due Monday (this was on Thursday, just a reminder). So after writing a billion personal statements (2, one for the application and one for a scholarship for the study abroad), and an introduction to my host family, filling out the same information ten times, ordering 2 official transcripts, and paying $50, I am done!! Now I just play the waiting game until they tell me I got accepted and give me all the information.
It's been a long four days.
On the bright side, I can graduate-assuming everything goes according to plan-after winter quarter!! That's in March!! It was a huge shock after thinking I had 2 years left of school.
And no I don't know what to do after I graduate, and I don't want to acknowledge being away from Luke. We've so far ignored the fact that we'll be apart for 4 months. But people do it all the time and they're fine. So there. Speaking of which he's sitting next to me wearing basketball shorts and a office depot collared button up shirt. Random. That's a weird place to end this post. But it's happening.

At least she didn't eat them

Jen sent me this picture today that made me laugh. Proof that Kailey is her father's daughter. Not that we needed any. She's becoming the cutest little mischeif maker in the world and she knows it.

The joys of cats

Happy Easter!

Somehow I think this year was defined by Easter. I spent all day remembering last Easter and how things were so much different but so much the same. Luke was there, Jen was there, Kailey was in mommy's tummy. It's weird how it can be Thanksgiving or Christmas and you look back and thing, wow that was a long year. But then you get to a stupid holiday like Valentine's day or Easter and it's like, wow that went so fast, even though it's the same amount of time.

Today went basically nothing like I planned. Jen's sister Carly was here for spring break so I thought it would be more fun to paint easter eggs with a younger one there. Mom and I went to meeting and then picked up Luke (I missed my baby, I hadn't seen him since Thursday) and went home. We ate an amazing lunch of ham and scalloped potatoes (yum) and then mom, Jen, Carly and Kailey ran off to the clinic because we thought baby had an ear infection (she didn't, just a bad cold). When they got back we opened easter baskets (which I put together, the height of my easter excitement) and were too lazy to paint eggs. Maybe next year when Kai is older.

Luke and I made Easter baskets for eachother in addition to the ones we got from eachother's families and our own. Turns out 3 easter baskets is a bit much. He got me lillies though. I've never gotten them before and they smell sooo good. They smell like plumerias (my fav flower ever-mostly because of the smell) and they made me want to go back to Hawaii (like I don't usually want to go back).

My whole family is being taken out by this crazy sickness (Robert, gram, Jen, baby, mom, dad, Luke, Julie, all the guys that work for my dad...not even kidding). I was sick when I came home fom break and assumed I had gotten it but I woke up with a sore throat this morning so I'm a little worried. Especially since Luke had the same cold I had the first time so he could get it too. Unfortunately it's highly contagious and lasts forever. Boo.

Happy Happy Easter!!!
